I am so sorry to hear about Carter, I remember when he was a little guy and you lived by us. Carter would walk in and make himself at home, which I loved, and Mike would come and ask if Carter was there!! And the day it rained, he got his fishing pole and fished in a mud puddle. Lots of many memories. Thinking of you all. Cheryl Cooley

I still remember the day I first met Carter. It was the day he stole my heart. Hayley and I had just moved to Morning Sun and we were living in the second floor of a house on Kearney Street. The front door opened directly to the steps leading to our apartment. I arrived home from work, parked the car, and came around the corner of the house to see the front door hanging open. I was thinking about the conversation I was going to have with Hayley about the importance of keeping the door closed when out shot a boy in a laundry basket, landing at my feet! "And who might you be?" I asked. With a twinkle in his eye and a devil-may-care grin, Carter introduced himself and found a forever place in my heart.

I'm so sorry for this loss in your lives, Mike, Karlee, and Trace. You have already all been through so much. I pray that you can find peace and healing in time. Until then, you are loved in the community and will have more support than you are even aware of.
