Cordell and Kathleen Hagele

As the funeral director, Cordell provides his caring service to families as they come to him in their special time of need.  He is a graduate of Union College and Indiana College of Mortuary Science. Along with his funeral care, he also enjoys maintaining the funeral home, especially the outdoors.  He may occasionally enjoy a round of golf.  Kathleen has always been an integral partner at the Funeral Home.  Since her retirement from teaching at the Wapello Elementary School, she has been able to devote even more time to assisting families and the community at visitations and funeral services, including frequently playing the organ for funerals.
They have two sons, Matt, a PhD Professor at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, and Mike, an assistant high school principal in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Mike and his wife, Anna, have four children, Sam, Will, Michael, and Clare.

Steve Odle

Steve is our primary assistant.  He enjoys visiting with people, caring for families, and is great at attention to details.  He is a retired electrician from Monsanto and his wife Anita works at the State Bank of Wapello.  She is frequently a vocalist for funerals.


   

Roger Campbell

Roger frequently assists with funerals.  He is a retired farmer formerly of Oakville.  He knows almost everyone and enjoys greeting and visiting.  Roger and his wife, Joan, live in Mediapolis.


   

Raymond Fisher

Raymond will also assist with funerals.  He is a retired manager of the Farmers Elevator and currently drives a special needs school bus to and from Burlington twice daily.  Raymond and his wife, Vickie, are longtime Wapello residents.


   

Mike Honts

Mike, a funeral director, is a partner with Cordell in the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home locations in Mediapolis and Morning Sun.  He will occasionally fill in as needed.  Mike and his wife, Sherry, also own and operate the Honts Funeral Home in Winfield where they are life long residents.


   

Ted Horn

Ted is an independent funeral director from West Burlington.  He will assist as needed.


   

Lottie Austin

Lottie will assist with calling hours, visitations, and funerals.  She is retired from the State Bank of Wapello and has been a life long resident of Wapello and Grandview.  She is a caterer and enjoys crafts.  Lottie loves to visit.
